| Lucky you I think the scca 2005 rule book has you in either STX or STU which puts you along side pontiac gto, rx8, audi s4, camaro, volvo s60, supra, srt4, evo8, and wrx sti, good luck with that. ![]() |

| What class would a 97 m3 with intake and strut brace be in? And the 275,000 e21 i had everything worked perfect i went to adjust the valves and they didnt need adjusting imagine that. only problem was the car was auto city which means it had only 3 gears. The highway tranny had 4. my other 2 had standard 5 speed trannys good for up to 130 mph which for 82 and 83 would smoke my 92 honda with 115mph top speed. bmw has always been ahead of their time. |

Your car would be in B Street Prepared or Street Mod, however, without having any other mods, you would wind up getting your butt kicked. If you do not plan any other mods, I would recommed taking the intake and strut brace off for the events so you can run in the stock class. You would be much better off in the stock class and can always put the stuff back on after the event. The other E21 that I have is the 3 speed auto, which really sucks, but it was originally a california car and has no rust at all, which is why I bought it. One of the things that I really like about the E21 is its reliability. The car in my SIG will do 170 mph by calculating the gearing, but I doubt it will go past 150 due to having the aerodynamics of a brick. |

| fast1, your 97 car with those mods is bsp, street mod or stu. if you are sticking with street tires, don't expect to be too compeitive in b stock, b street prepared or street modified. the street tires will be the biggest thing holding you back. to be competitive in these classes, you need r-compounds. the good news is that STU is available. this class is a street tire class and allows a pretty good set of "street" bolt-on mods. glucas21, your 95 is classed in b-stock but if you're going to stay on the street tires, it would be best to run STU.

| didn't know you could run r comps in b stock... thought you needed standard streets.. your best bet for equal competition is bstock. or rather. just race for time and compare your time to others. My bmw 2002 ran faster than some dudes new 911 turbo by 5 seconds. He couldn't understand why a 200Hp 2000lb car on hoosier dotslicks could even hang with his massive 911 turbo.. needless FTD in our area is done by a old '70 911.. the fuel injected one.. and I was 3 seconds off of his pace... so new 911turbo was only 8 seconds off.. just race for time.. enjoy.. autox can be dominated by rule book beaters.. don't get caught up in it

| yes, in stock class, you can run r-compounds per the scca ruleset. most of solo2 (scca) is fairly well self policed. there are essentially no "rulebook beaters" and those who have are marked forever. imho, what's the point of running if your not competing? ![]()
