| Custom Brake ducts? I would like to add some vents directly to the rotor. Are there any writes for DIY? I don't want to spend a lot of money either ( Turnerworks kit is out of the question ) Thanks, Jeremy

| I was just at Grattan this past weekend with Windy City BMW to do a driving school. I seen lots of people gut out their fog lights and run some sort of hose to the rotors to act as a brake duct. |

| ghetto it up and get some dryer outlet hose. it can handle high temps and can move alot of air because it is quite large. like said before, try taking out the fog lights and putting one end of hose on the opening. one thing though, you may want to paint it black or something so you dont look like the biggest dork ever...that is my job

| I would much rather build my own backing plate, we'll see if I can figure it out.

| Um.. you guys need to bust it old school style... this is how alot of 02 racers do it.... the area over the rotor can be a soup can... or you can custom fab you a tube from where ever... this might be a little to "dirty" for you newer guys but works fine... ![]()

| yeah not my install... but just what some 02 racers around here run.. it works well but I just have hoses just pointed 1" from the rotor... don't know if it does anything just had brake ducts in the front spoiler and needed to make them functional

| does the jtd brake cooling kit come with mounting brackets so you can aim the hose right on the rotor? i know it is an expensive kit b/c it comes w/ the spoiler under panel but they should include a backing plate also right!? that is what i am giong to get, and if they don't have a bracket than i will make my own. on a side note, what are those green dots under my avator? are they a rating system b/c when you roll over it it says something about can you handle the dopeness? and others w/ red dots it says dousche! some one let me know what this all is! ie. DADO! ![]() Last edited by tylere36m3 : 09-15-2004 at 10:42 AM. |
