If VIR killed your brakes, you'd better not go near CMP.

Try Hawk Blues for brake pads if you're having longevity issues. Be warned about the dust though.

My experience. YMMV.

Pad/rotor life at VIR with HT-14/HT-10: approx 5-6 events.

Same combo at CMP: 1 weekend. Not worn out, but pads tapered causing very soft pedal.

Porterfield R4 at CMP: 1 session. Toast.

With your HP, expect less.

Jeez, VIR killed your brakes Dado? My brakes were golden last weekend. CMP is starting to worry me though. If you guys are burning out with HT-14/HT-10, my Axxis Ultimates are going to be crying for mercy...

CMP should worry you. It's a fun track but it beats the hell out of your car. It destroys brakes like the others have said, and it eats left front tires for snacks. it teaches you a lot though because the track has two different elements to it. You have a track on one end that is spread out and has some corners that you can carry decent speed through and on the other end you have super tight autocross type corners. And then there is even some pucker factor there depending on how fast you take the kink. Have fun.

I'm looking at an overhead shot of CMP. I see what you guys mean about the corners. What do you guys think, similar in brake wear to Sebring?

Alright guys, I'm pretty worried now. My Axxis Ultimates have 2 track events (both at VIR) on them and 3 autocrosses. There's still a good amount of the pad left though. Am I going to be ok this weekend at CMP?
