Your Opinion: Best Track Size Wheels

What do you all think is the best size wheels to be auto-x'ing in?? i know it's either 16"s or 17"s... what's your opinion?

Generally the smallest and lightest wheel is the way to go.

I think I'd go for a set of 17x9's with 245 40 R17's on them though. That's about all that's possible to stuff under there and not have problems with rubbing. Although, there are a few running 255's.

The most tire you can fit with the lightest wheel. 17x9's with 255's are nice, but i don't drive around in parking lots in 2nd gear, so i don't really know

17x9" wheel with a 245 tire to drive on the minimal slip angle...

Yea 17/245 in all four corners will generally give you the best traction for track use or autoxing.

If you have the dough, you can run ultra-light 17s.

Generally 17x9s.
