FATT at Summit Point

I've seen the info for FATT at Summit Point, but I was just wondering if many people on the forum had experience with it. I've never done a track day before and thought this looked like a pretty good learning opportunity. How much actual track time do you end up getting. Is it worth the $250 in your opinion?

Any other info that you guys might think I should know before reserving a day?

Thanks

FATT is only $175 and you get four 20 minute sessions.

Oh cool, I don't know where I got $250. There is some instruction before though correct?

Alternatively, try out auto-x school in March IIRC with BMW CCA. It would be a good learning experience as well, much cheaper to.

I have done a lot of FATT and think it is well worth the money (especially if you can not find time for a typical 2-day HPDE). You get instructors until you get signed off to run solo, like me

I plan on hitting the first one in the spring to try out the new winter mods

I would personally encourage you to do a multiday DE with a single instructor throughout...such as BMW CCA, Car Guys Inc., or PCA...as an instructor, I find it more helpful to work with a couple of students over a greater number of sessions rather than having multiple students over a single day...

good...very smart mods. I had a novice student earlier this season that almost put us into a wall at Watkins Glen...TWICE! You obviously have lots more experience and are a solo driver but even then, for yourself and/or any passenger, safety is very important. I'll take you around in the LTW also...I should still have a passenger seat I can bolt up for DE's...

As for high 1:20s...I'm sure you'll get there very soon if you haven't already...

sounds like a plan, I have not seen the LTW in awhile, especially since it under went it's transformation to a club racer.

Only 3 long, cold months to go
