Mid-Ohio Race School Lapping Program

Well I have finished up all the Mid Ohio classes... And I must say that the Lapping was a great time Im just ready to do it in a different car than the school's RSX type-s's but anyways I was able to pull off very good and top laptime in the RSX's on mid ohio's 2.4 mile 15 turn course. Ran it in 1:56.98 with the avg mph just over 90, 91.73 to be exact ...was my fastest with consistant 1:57's I also have about 2 hours of incar video from the nice rain to a sunshine in the afternoon...

Mid-Ohio's a fun track. I haven't done the lapping school (WAY too expensive considering BMWCCA is MUCH less) but have done the HP schools. Set FTD at the autox competition

Why didn't you take your own car? That's half the fun of it!

I will be taking out one of the rides when I have one to actully call my own. THere are plenty of great track cars in the family M3 and vipers but one tires just get eaten up and the wear and tear on the car plus there is that little bit of fear of taking a viper front end right into one of those walls. 8-10 grand for a new hood is not top on my list for saving

After I passed a guy on the front straight I was watching him come around turn one in my rear view (the track was pretty damp) comes around way off line and puts it into a slide next thing I know he dissapears really fast. I get halfway around the track and they had stopped everybody because he put it into the wall at about 20mph. Bent the shit outa the front end...

Sounds like you guys could afford a new set of tires a little sooner.

Seriously though, I'd much rather be there in my car. I guess I just don't see the point in having a fast fun car if you can't use in the way it was designed. There is no way to utilize a bmw on the street.
