Qvick Mini Cooper S / Fastest In The World

hey guys,

here in belgium we have 2 or 3 fabulous racing tracks. A couple of years ago some guys started the idea to hold a national tournament(belcar) on these circuits with slightly modded porsche's bmw's, audi's,...

now it is turned into the most famous national racing event here. it kept and still keeps on growing every year. In the meanwhile supercars like vipers and ferrarris are becoming more and more common in these races. Professional Tuning teams are develloping the ideal car for the race.

This is how Eric Qvick(spelled quick) develloped a mini cooper s with a ///M3 engine implant. Not only did he swap the engine, he also took care in improving the aerodynamica, handling, weightloss,... of the car. Nothing is kept originally, except for the roof. the result is a blast. It has been the winner in its class. the engine puts out 350bhp (not 333 as said in the link).

yes i have got some extra photo's myself. (2 from a belgium automagazine and 1 i took on the national tuning event here)

update: it seems like the racers blowed the first engine (in 24h endurance race),... but don't worrie, they have already replaced it and they are testing the replacing ///M3 engine.
