Centreline RPM's are fairly light 18's @ 14.4lbs when comparedto the 17" S-lites which are over 22 from memory i kinda like the black pearl lookin ones.. they'd be my choice if i ever get around to changin them

have a look here

Jon, I am getting the OZ Superleggeras. They will be 18".

Still, everyday I consider changing my order -- to 16". While the 18" OZs weigh considerably less than the S-Lites that I currently run (16.5 lbs. vs. 25 lbs., respectively), I know that I am compromising. I am reducing unsprung weight overall (versus the 17" S-Lite tire combo I currently run), but I know I could reduce it even more if I just went with smaller rims.

Anyhow, the conclusion that I've come to is this: when it comes to the lightweight 18" wheels on the market, there isn't much difference in weight, but there's a big difference in appearance and price.

After considerable thought, I decided that the OZs provided the best balance for me. They are light, strong, well-priced, and good looking.

I figure that by going with the 18" wheels, though, I am leaving some additional HP on the table. Still, I know that I will be picking up some HP by going to this setup vs. my current stock setup.

Take care, Jon.

I will tell ya

At the dealership I work at-Knauz Mini in Lake Bluff-(shameless plug) The Cooper S demo we have for customers are equipped with SSR GT3 competitions....I know it is crazy to have those kind of wheels on our demo being that they can easily be bent. Anyways, they are so light that the same wheel that we have in one of our wheel displays I pick up with one arm and could wave around my hand as though it were a flag or something. Also those wheels are wrapped in the new Yokohama Parada's for incredible grip.

SSR GT3? This particular wheels only comes in 5 lugs. Are you sure its the SSR GT3s? or maybe just the ssr comps?

And as an addendum to my earlier post, I decided to go with 17s instead of 18s. And I decided to go with a different wheel altogether. Jon, are you going to try and find a BBS wheel? I know how much you love the BBS stuff. BBS makes great stuff.

And is it possible, getting back on topic, that we are talking SSR GT1s? I don't believe the SSR GT3 is available for the MINI.

Take care.

Marcus, Im not sure if i will go with BBS yet. Im on a tight budget on the mini mods but I will be going to SEMA to see what kinda of hook ups I can get for this car.
