| Yeah, they haul ass. When I was test driving one I had it at 95mph in 5th gear with some revs left to go. Not sure what the RPMs were, but I slammed it in 6th for the hell of it and then backed off. The top speed (limited) is 135mph!! Glad to hear you had some fun!! |

| Dave, we are having a lot of fun in our MCS. We've been getting some good kills lately. I think people really underestimate the power and light weight of this car. My wheels and suspension stuff are now on order -- should be about the beginning of the year when I get it. All I can say is the new wheels weigh 15-16 lbs. each. Man, that is so much lighter than the current 25-pound bricks I have on there now. The car should really move when I get the new goodies. Meanwhile, I can't wait til you get Darth Vader. Take care.

| Has anyone on here weighed their MSC? My E30 is 2580 (with a big-case diff), and should be around 2700 with the M50 engine. Coopers cant be more than 2300. Anyone?

| Stu, I haven't weighed mine yet, but I suspect it's right around 2600 and change. I'm hoping the drop in rim weight will make a significant difference to the performance of my car. Going from 25lbs per rim to 16lbs. Plus, I am going from run flat tires (which are bricks) to performance tires (which should be lighter). Take care.

Yea, light rims should help out a ton. Are there any aftermarket performance parts avail for them yet?

| Stu, the aftermarket performance parts are slow in coming -- but they are coming. I'd like to see some of these performance parts go on OTHER cars before I start putting them on my car, though. I'd rather have them be guinea pigs, if you know what I mean. Take care.
