| We're gonna find out this Sunday at the Auto-X... The Rocky Mtn Chapter of BMWCCA is putting on an Auto-X Sunday at Bandimere Speedway west lots - 3051 South Rooney Road Morrison, Colorado at 8am. There are 103 entries and 11 in my class - CS. Of the 11, 3 are Cooper S's, 2 E30 M3's, 5 E36 M3's and 1 twisted '75 530i. Should be an interesting day and fun to watch the Cooper S's come out for one of the first times. I'll advise after the event. Grant |

| They autocross VERY well. I think up here they are in class BS? I drove one at work though and thought Stu you would keep up. Oh well you will be smoking him soon. Peter

| Well, I am sure that if it were a stoplight drag race, it would be much closer. M42's have nothing on the highway. I have a feeling I could roll one off the line. Oh well, we'll get em next time (M50 )

| I got to watch the racing at Eurotunerfest at Willow Springs and there was a Cooper S there. It was amazing... on one of the hot laps, this Cooper S passed a 400hp M5 and pulled away from it. I have to give that car a whole lot of respect. None of watching from the pits could believe it and we were all asking each other if it really happened. Mini Cooper S that PASSED an M5 on a hot lap...unbelievable his tires after passing the M5 Later, Giancarlo

| I was at an autocross a couple weeks ago, and there was a Cooper S there. It did awesome. As much as I am not a front wheel drive fan, it rocked. I wanted to go for a ride, but time did not permit (as I wanted to drive MY car for extra laps). Oh well, props to the Cooper S's............ |

And the Cooper S has like 160 hp and 152hp at the wheel, so it's no hp loss whatsoever So yea....... I got a friend here w/ a Mini and I've seen him drive ( wrecklessly..... already destroyed his Mini and blames it on an old lady )

| He must have had some shit done to it, because I just got back from Euro Fest, and I drove the S, it had no balls.

| haha lol, front wheel is gay.....ask will turner what he thinks of those realtime "gays" dicing it out with his E36s........ good to know i'm famous ![]() back on topic: the MCS is a very dope handling car, very little understeer. I bet they'll be hell at auto-x and track days. the only negative is they are definately porky for their size....~2700lbs+ if i remember correctly.

| check the results from the speed world cup race at Laguna..... FWD may not be ideal, but it definately works. Thinking about it, stu that cooper must have been modded, cause the one i drove did not really feel much faster than your car....
