| We got a new MINI Cooper S and I'm addicted ... It's interesting. I used to love driving my BMW 5 series, but since we got the MCS (in early September) I've put exactly one mile on the 5 series. I'm addicted to the MCS! Each and every time we go somewhere, the wife says: "Hey, why don't we take your car out, so that we can give it some exercise." I promptly respond and say: "I don't think so. Let's take the MINI." The MCS is that much fun! And we just broke the engine in, which makes this car even more fun. We got the dark silver on dark silver and love it. I've always been a monochromatic kind of guy. We'll be doing some mods, but we're not going to go crazy. We'd like to replace the wheels with something lighter. These 17" S-Lites are too heavy. We'll probably stay with the 17" wheels, but we'll be looking for something in the 16- to 19-pound range. We got the sport package, premium package, navigation, and leather. All and all, a great car that's very satisfying. Anyhow, here are a couple of pictures. Only downside is that since we live near the canyon, we get field mice, skunks, foxes, and other little animals running around the neighborhood. Take care.

Anyhow, take care. One of these days I'm gonna have to meet you and also see that M5 of yours.

| test drove the S, it was a lot of fun indeed. Slow, but in a fun way. if i bought one, I'd have a short shifter, exhaust, and the 200hp kit on order before the car got home... its like a big expensive go kart ![]()

I don't need a daily driver, as I have a home office. There is no need for me to even have a car, except for pleasure. That's why I'm gonna sell the 5. I've found that since we got the MCS, I have not had any desire to drive the 5; I've been driving the MCS exclusively. Indeed, I've put 1 mile on the 5 this month. Tomorrow I am going out of my way to drive the 5 -- so that it can get some exercise.
