you can modify any car... just have to have the knowledge and right parts... throw in a custom done turbo setup w/ intercooler... that would be a nice mini...

You can get the MINI Cooper S up to 240hp with intake, exhaust, chip, and a supercharger pulley kit.

250hp might be attainable, but I havent seen it done yet.

yeah, i think those porsche 935s (moby dick) , etc. were 4 cyl turbos or somethin, but they got 1000hp out of em, granted they lasted a race and then got a complete overhaul.

E30 M3s pumped out 1300+ HP for qualifying runs... (they are 4 cyl. if you didn't know).

m3's didnt have the 1300hp engines, it was f1 and the turbo 320i race cars that did, the s14 in dtm form could not use a turbo so it never got that high, the m10 based engines had turbos boosting up to 85psi to get the hp that high. i havent seen or heard of the cooper getting about 200 but it will be done

does the word HAMANN mean anything?
http://www.hamann-motorsport.de/programme/e44.htm

HAMANN tunes the MINI for pretty much every area.

The Hamman kit looks good, but I have to wonder if it actually does anything. I know they did a few engine tweaks, and were able to get about 200hp from the MCS, but nothing too dramatic.
The only other mods are a suspension and wheels.

The Breyton looks like wider fender flares. I like that. Not too sure about the bumper bars on the front though...

AC Schnitzer doesnt look like they have done too much to the car besides wheels, suspension, and a few stickers.

The Hartge just looks like wheels to me

John Cooper Works is coming out with a kit for the MCS soon... it should be the equivalent of Dinan for the MINI.

You guys should check out the latest issue of performance BMW. BMW motorsport has taken a euro E36 M3 engine and transmission and stuffed it in a mini. It's got the wide fenders and the 18 x 10 inch wheels. This is a racecar but it's still pretty cool.
