raced a new mini cooper S tonight

it was in the E36 M3, but you guys are family, so i thought i would share with you.

1st gear we were about even
2nd, i pulled ahead, heard him chirp into 2nd
3rd, i pull hard on him, i hear him chirp into 3rd!

at the top of third i shut down, don't need to be driving that fast on a small street, i don't know how far behind he was, but he was back there.

he then took me for a ride in it my god that thing handles on rails. i think this is probably what our E30 M3's felt like with all new suspension stuff. the car was soo tight and fast. i wanted some harnesses in that thing cause i was holding on for dear life!

in a drag race, i bet this thing would be a tiny bit faster than a stock E30 M3, and will probably hang with one in the twisties too.

If i hadn't just bought the E36 M3 i would serously consider it, now i have to try and convince my GF to sell her 01 miata and get a cooper S (she thinks its cute )

if the guy has sunday off, i'm going to take him auto-xing next weekend, I'll let you guys know how he does

Ya, I'm tryin to convince my girlfriend to sell her 2000 Accord for a Cooper S. She loves em and thinks they are wicked cute.

I am jealous. I really want one of those. I test drove the regular mini and damn it can really really handle. Love it!

Theres a 2002 Mini cooper LM/GTE in Europe. Its 1900lbs, and has the e46 m3 engine in it, and i believe is all wheel drive. Its insane!
