they are like 16 thousand base price i think. BTW what do you have against them? frankly i would take a MINI any day over a toyota matrix, protege5, civix or anything else in that price range

I think the new Mini's look cool, with a Body kit and all they are pimp, in 2003 they are going to come out wi th a Cooper S it will be Beefed up. I would buy one

The new Mini is SICK!!!

There will be 2 models released in the US.

Mini Cooper and the Mini Cooper S

Here are the stats for each....

Mini Cooper - $16,850
1.6l transverse 4cyl
115hp/6000rpm
110lb-ft/4500rpm
2524 unladen lbs

Mini Cooper S - $19,850
1.6l transverse Supercharged 4cyl
163hp/6000rpm
155lb-ft/4000rpm
2678 unladen lbs

Add $1,250 for the Sport Package
DSC, 17" Alloy S-lite wheels with 205/45-R17 performance tires, Xenon headlamps w/powerwashers, and Front fog lamps
You also get a slightly stiffer suspension and bigger sway bars, but they dont list that on the site.

Its an impressive car.. has just as many airbags and safety features as the new 3 series. I cant wait to go see them in March

they are badass little cars, but i hope they (ricer companys, and people with little or no taste) dont bastardize them by making altezzas and making them look like crap

I'm on the list for a Mini S!!! Full out with EVERY option it is $21800!!! Not to shabby! It will be a FUN car. They said diliverly will be in Nov or Dec of this year.

It is a different mentality. The Mini is good for the European market, but not so much for the US market. I see them everyday here in Italy and i like them, especially the yellow one. I wouldn't get one, but i like them. I would buy a mini b4 a beetle.
