Any drive the new Mini yet?

My wife is lusting after the new Cooper and I was hoping to get some feedback from those who have driven it. I've heard is that the added size is a welcomed change compared to the cramped interior of the first-generation.

While I have not driven it, I actually by luck ran into a couple of the BMW test drivers having lunch at Subway 2 hours North of LA in the middle of nowhere. They were driving around the undercover cars logging test data for bmw. While they would not share too much information about the car, they did mention it was a solid improvement over the previous. And I was able to walk around the outside of the car checking it out...from what I saw it looks to be very nice and the interior space did look improved.
