I drive a black 2006 JCW 'Vert. I live near San Francisco and see my fair share of people simply buying MINI's for their fuel efficiency and in a way their potential for a "cute" appearance. This, to me, is disheartening. That is, the fact that few people recognize MINI's racing heritage and John Cooper's legendary work in Formula 1. For those of you that are unaware, John worked with Bruce McLaren. This is the same "McLaren" that you know today. I, in no way feel girly driving my MINI. Here in the states, MINI's are viewed much differently than in European countries, where often they are perceived as just another BMW. Can you make a MINI very feminine? Absolutely. Is a MINI a girly car? Absolutely not.

Well, personally I don't particularly like the look of soft-top convertibles regardless of manufacturer. I don't think the MINI 'vert is necessarily a very attractive car, but I wouldn't consider the appearance to be feminine.

dont worry about how it other people think it looks, make the call yourself. more important is how it drives and if it feels safe (its tiny).

Girly....no. Mod it and take it to a track day (w/Hoosiers) and you'll see how girly it isn't...

IMO...They come pretty girly straight out of the box...... But with a few mods (26 to be exact) and alot of the green stuff. They can start to grow a pair.

It all depends on the car, there are some cars that have bad ass all over them and there are others that, well don't. There is one thing that I think every one can agree on and that is that the Mini is a great little car

I say it depends. A few weeks ago one of my good friends borrowed his moms Mini Cooper S. He was going back to school in a few days and said he needed to go to Bed Bath & Beyond for a comforter before we hit the bar. We went in together and came out together. When we go back in the car I mentioned something along the lines that two guys, sitting in a Mini, in front of Bed Bath & Beyond, with a comforter, sounds kind of girly doesn't it. He pretty much immediately told me to shut it.

IMHO, if you need a car to prove your masculinity you've got bigger issues than whether a car is "girly" or not.

This is how mine came out of the box... seem's "manly" enough to me

If a chick magnet is girly, then...

I have a 2002 MINI with moonroof, stripes and fog lights. Girls surround my car constantly. With or without my wife in the car. GIRLY??? My son agrees. Most geys don't pay much attention until they see you FLY around a corner somewhere or pass them. As soon as you stop, they turn back into
CHICK MAGNETS!!! WARNING!!! Do not test drive unless you want to buy one. It is hard not to get hooked. MILTON

If a mini is performance-minded and carries a masculine color scheme then it shouldn't be considered girly
