| Ok so I've had the 19% pulley for almost 7 months and have not installed because I've heard too many bad things and not enough good things about it. What do you 19% pulley owners think of it, and have you run into any problems with it? Last edited by racer714 : 11-16-2004 at 02:18 PM. |

| The concensus seems to be the 19% is ideal for mostly street driving but wouldn't be good for tracking the car. I'm sure if you went to the track a few times with the 19 you'd be fine, but you just never know. Some companies I'm sure have put tons of track miles on the 19% pulley.

| So you think I'll be fine on the street but not on the track? What about the drag strip, because that is going to be the extent of my tracking. |

| There are many people running 19% pulleys in the 1/4 mile. You'll be fine.

| thanks for the help, I ran a 15.5 with just an intake when I just got the car with a full tank of gas. I have not had the time to go to the drags since I install the coil packs, plugs, wires, and cat back exhaust. |

| 15% was what was sold exclusively for a while and within the last 6 or 7 months have they started selling the 17% and 19% more.

| Have you had any feedback yet? Also Do you know where I can rent the pulley puller? I really don't want to spend $100 on something I'm only going to use once. I'm not going to have the dealer do it because they want $450 to do the job. |

| i wouldnt install the 19% pulley even though people have had positive experiences with it. you never know in the mini S the supercharger can run to fast and creat to much boost presure ruining your engine and i havnt heard any positive comments about it. i heard that a 17% pulley should be max and plenty, but feel free to try. if you do install it tell me how it went... |

| My girlfriend went to a pulley party in Richmond 2 weeks ago and had Randy of Webbmotorsports.com install it. He gave a tech talk about pulleys and supercharged engines afterwards. He recommended 15% was the highest anyone should go because if you go 17 or 19 the engine will over-heat. He's had experience with 15%-19% pulleys so he knows from experience. He owns a one-stop-Mini-shop in Littleton, Colorado. Call him up, he'll be happy to answer any and all questions. |

| like khanh said anything higher then the 15% is over driving the s/c and will over heat in time thats why it says Not for track use. And it is really worth having the chance to blow something up?

| I have made up my mind, I will not put the 19% on. I think I'm done tuning the mini. I have a new project car that has MUCH MORE potential of being a monster on the street! The new toy is a 1990 Audi quattro coupe 20v. Ya the mini is cool and when I first got it there were alot less Minis out there. Now they are a dime a dozen where I live. I'm still going to keep it because I love it to death. I'm not sure if I will continue to tune it though. I'm really not all that impressed with the Mini's engine, for one I hate Chrysler! I don't care if BMW help them with the Engine, in the end its only a Neon engine with a blower. That is weak on BMW's part in my book! |

I would suggest on keeping it thouh unless you cannot keep up with the payments. The resale on that just as long as you get that key scratch fixed will be pretty decent since it is a mini and people are suckers for em. Or hell move out to Arizona ive only seen a few out here.
