| Dinan Cooper S Hey. Anyone thinking about gettin the DINAN modded MINI or any Dinan parts once they come out early next year? I don't have enough money, but if I did I'd strongly consider it. Think about it, a Dinan badge on the back of your Cooper S.... ![]()

| I honestly think you could do better with less money. Dinan IMHO is over priced and not as good as they are thought to be...

I haven't heard about the Turner package, I'll check into it and see what they offer compared to the other tuners. I just mentioned the others because they are the most popular. I won't even get into the whole discussion about warrantied packages vs. build as you go tuning....because that'll probably just expose me to even more bashing. Look, all I was trying to get was start some discussion about how DINAN is viewed by people around here and the only thing that happened was that I got called "illogical"....wtf.

| The Dinan and JCW kits are sought after by the kind of people that want to keep their awesome BMW warranty but at the same time want to make their car haul ass. Obviously if they didnt care about the warranty then they would go for the more powerful, cheaper alternatives. This is all moot point anyways, however, since not many of us can afford to do those kind of modifications Like CooperSRacer said... "wishful thinking/dreaming" |

| If your just looking for horse power you don't really need Dinan. I have been in the tunning industrie for 13 years and was a DInan dealer for about 5 until they moved to dealership only which we still sell through the dealerships. I find there product very reliable and street legal and warranty at the dealership you can't beat that. But there a little behind on the Mini. I have a street legal K&N Typhoon intake system, Magnaflow stainless exhaust,Pro Mini pulley upgrade (22hp/22ft lbs. by itself),Nology coil packs, and Sun Hyper ground & voltage with these minimal amount of mods I have not spent much money but I have incredible Gaines as well as a much smother power band. There are very few cars on the road that want to play with this Mini it just keeps pulling. So to wrap it up a street legal , reliable good horse power gainig Mini can be made without Dinan and without the Dinan expense |
