Whats the widest wheel you can fit on a MC?

Is it possible to fit 18 x 8 rear on a mini with no bodywork? Sorry, I don't know much about Mini Coopers, just trying to get some questions answered for my girlfriend. She just ordered a Cooper S and is shopping around for wheels right now and wants to know if she can fit atleast 18 x 8 in the rear. Any pros or cons with this size?

18x8 would fit the mini but it all depends on what offset you are going with and how low you are going to go. A lot of people are running 18's with the wrong offset and are rubbing.

We offer real fender modifying with the most high tech industry tools available. I have a cooper S and after discussing the car and trying a few different options with people from the likes of Racing Hart, Yokohama, and Brembo I came up with maximum fitment of 18 x 7.5 w/ 225-35-18 with this package some minor fender trimming is needed but it will clear 100% no rubbing even on H&R springs. It seems like 7.5" x 18" is the largest that can fit inside stock bodywork?

18x8, depending on the offset, can fit on a Mini
Hamann's rims are 18x8 so there is a "factual" response
