| My girlfriend just purchased a 2003 Mini Cooper with the automatic transmission. Basically the slowest Cooper available, and it still moves pretty quickly. With the CVT auto-transmission, and sport-shift function or whatever you call it, she loves it. A lot of guys, including ESP, are getting Mini's because they get great gas mileage, handle extremely well, and are relatively cheap. We purchased her Mini through Mini of Towson, ask for Kevin Taylor and tell him James Nichols sent you. He is a cool, 20 something guy who was very helpful throughout the whole process. |

| Spring for the John Cooper Works package. Then that thing will be a true pocket rocket. But the base S still moves fast and the Base cooper is quick enough for most people.

| The coolant tank is the only chronic problem that I know of with the MINI's. Make sure that if its used, that the previous owner had it fixed under waranty, or that the waranty gets transfered over to your sisters name so she can have that replaced for free. Other than that, its an awesome car! ![]() |
