Got my MINI-Madness intake today

Just got it today and installed.

From a standstill, noticeable improvement shows up at the end of 2nd gear, on up to redline of 3rd and 4th (as far as I took it). The supercharger whine is much more pronounced now at WOT. I like it.

Installation was a cinch, came with everything needed besides the 8mm socket and screwdrivers.

With the price I got ($190) I am more than happy with the results. Next I plan on removing the rear half of the box to get the air from the cowl vent and then comes the pulley .

Tom

Nice to see my evil twin getting some mods

Keep us up to date on how it goes. I am still telling myself that I need to leave the MINI stock and continue modding the 318

BBS wheels in black come this weekend and hopefully Eibach springs too.

The MINI needs to be modded. If anything, get the pulley done. Everything I've read about it says the car has a lot more power everywhere.

I saw my wheels today. SOOOO HOT!!! It's a shiny black with the outeredge silver. We just need to wait for the Yokohama's to come in and they will be on. Might as well put those springs on too while the wheels are off, I say, but, it might rub a lot with those springs and wheels. I've rubbed a few times with the RZ's on my Cooper, which had the softer springs, so we'll see.

Can't wait.

Here is a pic of the intake

Made by MINI-Madness/Rogue Engineering (not sure)
Goes for 180 on www.outmotoring.com which is the cheapest I've seen it.
But try these links for some info etc.

I installed the Rogue Intake on a friend's cooper S. definately made some difference that the butt dyno could feel.

Oh, DDD sorry I totally lost all the pics from my computer (RAID issues) but I did manage to find one of the MINI on H&Rs...

Not the best pic but gives you an idea... ride was a little bouncier than stock but not bad at all.
