James, I am trying to see if I can do this event. Don't count on me too much though. I have a lot going on; for starters, my car still isn't ready!!

Anyway, if I can go, I will let you know. Spring and Fall are the best times to do DEs IMO!

Are you definitely participating? if so, which car are you going to use?

My one and only vehicle is my 540. The beastly looking thing in my signature is long gone. I have some maintenance to take care of before the steamboat is ready for the track, so we'll see. Might have to be later this year.

I remember your old car.

When did you get rid of it?

I sold it to a fellow DTM'r a couple of years ago. I had stripped it of most modifications, but mechanically the car was still in great shape. It is currently being modified again (although not as wild-looking) and should debut sometime this spring.

Does anyone have a code reader and/or scanner? I will likely let someone else do the maintenance/repairs, but the smaller items I'd like to tackle myself.

At my old shop we had a fancy Snap-On ($$$$) that cleaned your clothes and cooked breakfast, but now I just have repair manuals.

I have a basic OBD II code scanner (car chip). It may help but it only returns the standard OBD Codes and not the BMW specific. Your more than welcome to try it.

Thanks Pete! My CEL appears to have reset itself. I replaced my cats but never had the light reset. I am sure there are still codes that need to be addressed so I will likely need your scanner.

No problem. The Car Chip also can reset codes too. Just let me know if you need it.
