I'm new to the site just this month. But, after reading the new members information, apparently they have changed the site a bit. You have to earn reputation points to gain posting access to other portions/forums on the site.
I am under the impression that to gain reputation points you just have to post more on the sections you have access to. Take a look at the post above...see under your name it has those little icons. One looks like a halls of justice balance...I think the administrator clicks on that and gives you reputations points. I'm just becoming familiar with the site right now...hopefully that helps a little though.

Hmm, I don't like that, lol. I've been a member on these forums for a while, I just don't post much because I can usually find the answers to my questions by searching, and I'm just generally more interested in reading what others post about...there should be a clause so that people who have been members for a year can post or something...

Oh well, guess I better start posting, eh?

Yeah, I had to re-join because my old email address wasn't working anymore, and I couldn't remember my password, so I had to re-register. I don't remember when I first joined, but it's been since I first bought my BMW, which was in...summer of 2004.
