He is right about a 91 525, they are not worth so much anymore. When you mod a car you never really get back what you put in.

Now I can answer why people think you don't have a S50 engine in there. yea, the M-Power cover is on there, but that is only $80 to do that. There is NO VANOS on that engine. All S50-52 have Vanos. It could be a early M50 rebuilt to S50 specs?

See the VANOS BUMP in the valve cover? I also want to put a S50 in my 525, either way the car looks SWEET! I'de buy it for $9k!

I understand where your coming from chris,but I am not one of those people,you can have the car dynoed and check,I know g-tech figure might be a little off but I get 250-260hp and my friends 98 328is(5 speed) which is lighter cannnnot pass me on the local or highway,I dont think a 5 series with a m50 motor could do that,as far as the vanos is concerned,I took it off because I did not get the harness and ecu with the motor,so I took the vanos off and just connnected it with my existing harness and put in a chip to make up for it a little,anyways thanks for the props on my m5
