Help needed with friends 95 540I....(more)

This is what I got from our phone conversation...."When I get on it at full throttle, it almost kind of cuts out for a second and flashes the CEL for a second then goes back to full throttle." He said, it's almost like dumping the clutch in a 5-speed and the car bogs back and forth. Somehting like that. Any ideas? Any help?

What does he mean by the "CEL" If a tryangle in a midle is flashing that means it activates the ASC. Its traction control basically. You can turn it off. But my car also does it sometimes when I am low on gas altheway. Hope I helped a little.

CEL, brief for Check Engine Light. I don't know, This is just what he told me. I'll tell him, what you said. I hope you're right. Thanks a lot for the help.

Oh yeah, also tell him to check his injectors and Coils.. That also might me it...

He said it was the crank sensor. Is that a possibility? I have no idea. Thanks again.
