About this Jimmy540 guy...

Now I understand when poeple don't get along and have a difference of opinion but the cars he's got on his site are for the most part really really fugly. Now I'm not a massive fan of the wing on Dado's car but thile I may thing it looks like crap Dado like sit and thats his thing.

But, why does everyone absolutly hate this guy?

Because he sells $15 bulbs for like 10 times the price claiming they are so much better, when they are in fact, $15 bulbs.

But hey, more power to him. His car is rice anyhow.

People hate Jimmy because he is rich, austentatious, and sells faux-xenon bulbs for $120.00 a pair. (Though people do pay that much, so IMHO more power to him for finding suckas) Dado hates him because his car, that he has obviously put a lot of money into, is in Jimmy's nightmare section. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I'm personal friends with Jimmy. He's probably one of the nicest, most giving guys around. He comes from a culture in which poking fun at others cars is in a COMPLETELY different context than around here. Anyone who knows the guy can vouch for the fact that he's not a hater (He has his OWN car in the nightmare section for christs sake). If you can honestly say you hate the guy for reasons other than jealousy, (i.e. he's done something to you) I think you should lay off of him. Just my .02

ok i do have to admit that there are some nasty cars on that page, but some of them are really nice. i think i saw Josh's car on there with his LTW wing w/ extensions...and Jimmy mentioned something about the wing being too big. It is purely a functional wing, and BMW uses it on their M3 LTW editions so i don't see how it can be rice.

that is just one example..there are some other nice cars on that thread that he hates on.

yeah and the fact that he sells those POS bulbs for 120. HAH

People hate him because he is probably the ONLY ONE with a web page criticizing other people's ride, specially the ones that are not anywhere close to being RICE.

I've only met Jimmy once. I can say I thought he was a pretty nice guy. Funny and crazy as heck. I can't necessarily agree on what he sells. Sure you can look at it than those guys are suckers in the first place. However, please remember that there are some individuals who trust the information they are being given. So why do it? Is it really worth the 50 extra dollars he made only to later on have that person upset? My opinion is no but his maybe yes. I'm not gonna hate the guy for it. Nobody is perfect.

All I can say is that he sure is popular and discussed about quite often. Ha ha.

And by the way...I've ridden in his car. It's pretty fast.

Sam, that is not my car. Though it looks like someone did a good job trying to emulate it. As far as that wing being on that site, some people just are not into the whole factory motorsport parts thing. Just like some people think its comical to waste money modifying an automatic. Anyway, to make a site like that you have to be insecure about something. Perhaps it relates to what I mentioned above.
To each his own.
The only thing that really disturbs me about that listing of cars is on the first page with the damaged M5 that was obviously hit from the side; one of the captions reads, "Get your driver's license before you get the car." That is in very poor taste.

My definition of rice:

1) Any car that has had more money spent on it for show, than spent on it for go.

2) Any item on a car which could not possibly serve a purpose on the street. I am sorry, but until you get above 120 that 12" wing with the scaffolding effects ain't good for anything but serving sushi.

3) Any car over 2K Lbs whose exhaust would make my gardener think the guy who stole his leaf blower is back.

In general, there can be ricey parts on a non-rice car - and vice versa.

the picture of my car has been added recently there and I really don't care. I already had no respect for the guy over an year ago, even before I started hooking up my car.

I just hate it when people put huge wings on their cars and go around thinking that their car is going to perform better. If you put a huge wing on your car because of the way that it looks, hey go for it, personally I dont think that it looks good, but who cares what the hell I think. But if you put the wing on your car because you think your car will perform better with a wing, and your not expecting to do some serious tracking, then thats just pathetic.
