Need an e28 M5 engine

Hey guys, I'm looking for a e28 M5 engine. I want to swap this into my 535is. I talked to a guy a while ago who had one for sale for about $2k But i wasn't in the market for one then. He had 176K miles on it. Now that I think about it I should of went for it. Any leads would be great. Or if any of you have something, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Wow, good luck, man. I think a shop that has one. Try South COast German Cars in Costa Mesa California. (714)751-4381 and ask for Claudio. I dont know if they still have it, though.

Who sells the kit, and where could I find it? I just got an e-mail from a guy who has an engine for sale, 72k original miles, he wants $5k for it. Forced induction sounds fun, let me know.

There is a M5 engine w/ ECU (Dinan Chip) w/ complete wiring harness for sale on ebay. Some scrapyard got a totaled E34 M5 in and is selling the motor. They say they have tested the motor to 200lbs compression per cylinder.

Currently I think its at $2650 or $2750, worth taking a look.
