| Where can I buy red and clear bulbs for the tail-lights on the 2002 E39 530? I want to remove the amber turn signal bulb and replace it w/ the red or clear one.

| What are you talking about? It's not like I'm asking where I can buy a quart of motor oil. I have asked many places and they don't carry red or white bulbs for the 5 series. They have them for E46's and such, but not for the E39's. Even for the foglights, the foglight design for the new 5's is different and superwhites don't fit.

| No offense dude, but they didn't invent a brand new bulb just for the E39... it's probably a standard 1157 or 1156, depending on whether it's single or dual filament. As for the fogs, they're probably H1, H7, or 9006... not sure offhand, but call the dealership and ask, or like I said, go to Pep Boys, and ask them... I'm sure they can get you something. |

| Why don't you go remove the bulb from its socket and see what size it is. The bulb itself is much bigger than the one I have seen on 3 series and other bimmers.

| i think the manual would say what size it is? for rear turn signals, it'd probably be 1156. this can be clear, red, amber, whatever. try a import shop for other colors like red and superwhite. as for the fogs, i'm not sure, but again, maybe check the manual or pull it out and bring it to a shop. i know the newer e39's use h7 in the headlights, so the fogs might be the same. |

| Dude, it's not rocket science. I'm really trying not to be an ass, but... just go down to Pep Boys, Kragen, any import store where they would carry aftermarket stuff like this. Take a taillight bulb out and a fog light bulb. Walk into the store, hand the guy the bulbs, and tell him what you want. It's really not that hard, you're spending more time posting and arguing about it than it would take to just DO it. I feel like I should go do it FOR you... jeez. And BTW, don't touch the glass on the foglight bulb. |

| Either the 1156 or 1157 will work for the rear turn signals... Preferrably use the single filament bulb, but I am currently using the double filament bulbs and it works fine. U'll jus' have to put the bulb in the socket a different way. With the double filament bulb, there is two ways u can install it... depending on the placement of the prongs to the socket, you'll either get the regular effect of say a single filament, or a lower wattage, fast blinking pace. If its the latter, jus' take the bulb out and flip the prongs the other way to fit in the socket.

| the back is 1156, but the foglights, I don't remember. I checked a few places for the foglight bulbs and they said it doesn't exist YET. But the guy told me they are going to come out w/ superwhite bulbs for the angel eyes in November.
