Bmw 540

My parents have a 93 bmw 540i automatic. The problem is its make a weird noise from the engine its like a constant eeeeee. Also my mom said that it like seems like the transmission is slippin u give it gas and it doesnt get the power right away and once it does it just suddenly goes
