first time 5 series owner

heyz people....
ummm im a 1st time 5 series owner on thursday im getting the 528i 2000 model...
just wanting to get an opinion on these things from you BMW guru's

Im getting it of my dad as he bought a merc clk320 1999 model. and just wondering on if i should put on a m5 style front bumber bar or not?
what are you guys thinking?
dad says "NO" as it is a BMW and nothing on bimmers need to be changed and just leave it all original.
I love the way the car looks now but i love the m5 front bumber so much more.
i know its a BMW and i should leave it original but im really not sure on what to do.....

and would love to know what use are all thinking?


ohh yeah and will post up pics as soon as i can once the car is handed over to me which should be this Thursday

By the way im from Australia Melbourne, and if there are any Melbournians on this forum let me know would be great to meet up with you all and maybe go on a cruise or something..

I say, Its your car, and if you like the way the m5's look, as you should because they are sexxxxy, then you should change it. Just because a BMW is designed beautifully, doesnt mean you can't change things on it to make it your own, just think your driving a car almost exactly the same as thousands of people. It never hurts to change things up and be unique

I drive a 98 and i have not had any major problems. They are reliable cars just take care of it.Im clocking 196,588.... As far as the M Front id say go with it if thats what you like. It may seem like alot of people have it but thats because most of us are online all day. Im in Miami where the car scene is major and you rarely see a 5 series with an M front. Being unique is hard when you go to the same forums, and read the same magazines as the next guy who is trying to be "unique"...good luck!

ive got my eyes on a 525i with the M body kit and rims (metalic blue), i can tell you now its the most sexiest look!
