'92 735i motor into an E34?

Will a '92 735i Motor Fit/Match Up with my '92 525it? A neighbor blew the trans on his 735i and I am considering parting out the car and keeping the motor.

If I remember correctlly thats the M30, I think they put it in the 535 E34's? I believe that should bolt up but. I just got into E34s, if anybody has more accurate info on this?

I contacted a salvage guy who told me the motor must mount to that trans and it won't fit on my 525 bell housing. I would need the motor, trans and a custom drive shaft to fit it to the wagon. The wagon is pretty slow. The swap doesn't really sound too bad but I might just pull the trans and have my neighbor rebuild it. He is a professional mechanic and offered, if I bring him the trans on a pallet, to rebuild it for parts. If his offer is still good it makes more sense to put the car back together and drive or sell it.
