E28 Interchangeable Transmissions????

Hello everyone, Thank you for stopping to hopefully answer my question. I want to upgrade from an M20 to an M30 engine in my E28. I want to know if the automatic transmission I already have will bolt up to the M30. Thanks in advance.

no the m30 bell housing is different, im not sure if u can get away with changing the bell housing on your current auto to a m30 one but im not sure how the transmission will behave with the m30.
