| Help with wiring connectors please Ok I am currently faced with some issues re-assembling my car. The Intake Air Temp plug has no visible connector in my engine bay. (bottom of obd2 intake mfd) There is a Red/Blue and Brown 2 pin connector which I think attaches to the end of the fuel rail... otherwise it goes to the piece of hardware where the ICV/CCV is. I don't know it's name, but its attached via a vacuum hose to the intake manifold and has a rubber mount for it. ICV has some plumbing going to what probably was the stock intake boot? I can plumb that into my custom CAI. Currently I changed jobs and there is no public transport where I am working, so I am walking 5km's to work and back everyday, and in West Australian weather currently it's in the middle of summer, today is 37C!!! I gotta fix my car asap! Your help would be much appreciated. Regards, Nathan |

| RealOEM.COM BMW E39 523i WIRING HARNESS, ENGINE IGNITION MODULE It's the socket/plug on the underside of the intake manifold. I am thinking there is some seperate harness I am forgetting here that plugs in there... RealOEM.com is the best thing I ever found..... although it's not detailed, I can work it out when it gets light tomorrow. Posted on three forums, for three days and ur the only person to reply, thankyou. After this car gets back together I give up with cars. Bikes are the way to go fast, keep my bimmer for cruising. | I think I'm missing a length of cable which goes from the end of the injector rail to either the IAT or tank vent valve. There is a 90 degrees plug that must connect to either to the tank vent valve or the IAT. My car is going to be exactly the same as yours minus the M5 front bar... going for quad tips, but with the stock 523i bumper cut-out. Same colour rims, my car is black though. The ICE install will be one of the best in an E39 you have ever seen though, pics will come in about two weeks. I have a pair of kicker L7 10"s in the rear parcel shelf, two atomic apocalypse 10's in the back. I cut the rear behind the seats to rid the 'bmw curse' and have 1100wrms going to the atomics, and a pair of Alpine 605's (600wrms) going to the kickers. Dual N70z batteries with dual battery setup, P4 2.8Ghz computer and 15" screen mounted to the dash. Twin monitors in each headrest and usb ports all over the car. |

| Sorry, I haven't been able to look at anything on my car. The temp outside the last few days in my neck of the woods has averaged 15° F (or -9° C) for a daytime high and last night when I had the time to look at my car it was -7° F (or -22° C) and my garage is basically a barn. I'm hoping you found the answer to your problem, I haven't forgotten about it and I want to help you the best I can, but I'm not going to see bearable temps until sometime next week. Unfortunately we're experiencing opposite seasons right now. On the other note, your ICE install sounds like it's going to be over the top . When you get it done you're going to need to post some pics. I'm also redoing my current system sometime in February. I found a really good shop near my school that's going to hook me up with a nice install for a good price. Originally I was going to get a second JL Audio 12w6v2, a JL Audio 1000/1, and a JL Audio 450/4 but I couldn't justify the money (I'm still in college and only work part time). Instead I'm going with two Alpine SWR-1222D Type R's, 1 Alpine MRP-M1000, and 1 Alpine MRP-F600. I'm looking at a simple sealed box and a trim panel and a simple amp rack. Basically, I want the entire trunk install to look like it came that way from the factory and I'm going for sound quality. When all is said an done I'll have a nice clean 1400 watt RMS system. |
