| I would usualy agree with this post but on a M5 I thinks 20's would look and perform fine assuming you choose the right ones

| The Tire size calculator can tell you the differance in OD and width between what was OEM and what you are changing to. Keep in mind that it will not calculate the differance in the offset of the rim. Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing One thing that would answer your questions is to talk to the dealer about what will fit the car. Just don't buy them from him, LOL...
