540i/a Trans Fluid Level?

Well, after my post of "clean bill of health" on my 97 540, my trans feels like its slipping for some reason. When it's cold, it will herky-jerk every once and a while in "D". Not sure if its a cold start actuating thing or the trans.

Can anyone tell me how to check the trans fluid on the automatic 540i? I dont have a mechanic's manual and the owner's manual says squat so I assume its self contained and a "mechanic" should service it. Any answers out there?

when did you do an ATF flush? uhm...you might wanna check out these references...

Thanks for the link. It actually left me partially stranded on the freeway yesterday, so I brought it to the mechanic. They're on it. I will let you know what is up with it.

BTW... That is a killer "T" you have. Its all done right.

Tranny is being flushed now. We'll see Monday.

The Flush seemed to have worked so far, thanks for the advice, JVC. I wil keep you updated if something happens with it.
