| easier route would be to fit an S52 from the M3, at least they have the same mounting points and it is a double vanos as well. These motors give similar power to the S88 and are more current. Also the 3.8's were relatively heavy, you would feel a noticable difference in the handling of your car.
All that aside, my suggestion is that you fit better suspension, better brakes and learn how to drive the car properly before adding the huge power. The 530i is no slouch. For LSD's try BM autohaus or BM Auto Engineering. Try some of the wreckers as well.
Just to add to what I posted, try a diff with an LSD that has a higher ratio than your current one. I am not sure what you have, so I cannot say, but one with a higher gear ratio should also give you better acceleration. Get a good induction system, exhaust system and have a chipped installed, that should take care of your power needs for now.
