Well it isn't tech talk, so it doesn't go on the E39 tech talk board. So where do you suggest I post it? I see a lot of E36 group buy shit in this forum, so I figured this was the place to do it. Furthermore, I'm not selling the lights myself, so no point in posting to the FS section.
As far as I'm concerned it's not OT and it's relatively general, so I don't see the problem with posting it in the general discussion area. Does it make you feel special to bitch about where you think my post should go? lol

Is this a direct replacement part for the e39 headlight assembly? In order words, would this be plug and play on a 1998 528i? Damn, if this is 11th hour, do you think some exceptions can be made because my dad was really interested in this and I need to know the rest of the info. Are these genuine units? Thanks!

ok so the whole E39 angel eye headlight unit plus xenons for $700?

Yep, direct replacement, plug and play. These units are made by hella, and are the same ones that everyone else is selling. (same peeps that make OEM, no cheap imitation crap) The only difference between these and stock ones is no LED's on the side of the lenses on front or rear. (Which require jerry-rigging anyway if you want this) You have till monday. (But I suggest calling by Friday, as kyle may cut off the deal before Monday) After Monday it's back to the $650.00 that everyone else sells them for.

If you have xenons already, just buy the $725.00 ones and use your old ballasts. If you don't have xenons but want them, buy the $725.00 angel eyes (Clear/amber are same price) and then get the OEM ballasts for $300.00, and the $100.00 resistor so you don't have a "check headlight" message appear. So it's $1100.00 plus something around $30-40.00 shipping for a halogen-xenon upgrade. (No tax if you're not in RI)

If you have halogens and don't want xenons, get the $450.00 halogen-halogen units and stick halogen bulbs back in. (They also sell 80 and 100 watt bulbs that are really bright to replace the stock halogens with much brighter display)

$725.00 is just the angel eyes. I think the bulbs come with the ballasts. Call kyle and ask him tomorrow though for clarification.

I'm sorta confused on this. What exactly has to be done to get these units to light up? I have to go and buy the LED's to install?

If you have xenons now, get the $725.00 ones and plug in your ballasts from the stock headlight assembly.

If you have halogens now, and don't want xenons, buy the $450.00 halogen angel eyes and plug in the old halogen bulbs.

If you have halogens now and want xenons, buy the $725.00 angel eyes, the $300.00 ballasts (That I think come with bulbs), and the $100.00 resistor pack.

The angel eyes come with the splitter cable that lights the rings off of the factory turn signal wire.
