Low idle rumble and white smoke on start up of my 95' 530i

Well it seems as though the rumble feeling is back on low idle. For example on start up there is white smoke coming out the back, sometimes just a little, sometimes a lot, no matter what time of day it is. It also happens when im driving like a puff comes out every 15 minutes or so because I can see it in the rearview mirror. The car also rumbles like a "muscle car feel" at idle and once I get going it goes away when I go above 30mph or so. We checked the oil and there is no water visible in the oilso were guessing the head gasket is ok, we also checked the coolant and its ok and theres still some in there. It overheated while I was at the drive through and it was just barely touching the red part on the meter, and it also overheated while my mom took the car out at night so I really cant think of anything else, possible oil problem somewhere else? We checked the spark plugs and theres no oil around them their just a bit brown so we might replace them. I'm pretty sure I covered everything that I know of and what we've checked, I might end up taking the car in for a diagnostic check if we cant think of anything on here, thanks a lot for your time and help

Sounds like a nikasil issue to me. Do you have a lot of savings??

well still does it today, now when it smokes a bit out the exhaust while driving sometimes its like those F1 cars when their engine blows so I dont think we can even sell it if we tell them about the nikasil issue. I would have to buy another used motor then right, since it seems like id have to put a lot more money into the car.

I interested in the degree of white smoke and rumble... does it burn oil, probably not if the plugs are good(I replace them yearly anyway). Ya really want to know the condition of the engine, do a compression test. And if all are negative... then look at your engine management....
Mine does kinda the same thing, remember it is a V-8, but I've never had problems yet.
