E34 performance???

i have a 89 535is with 5spd manual and i want to tune it a bit. so wat stuff should i get? i want to get a super charger but do it properly eg: new head pistons etc. first what brands are the best and what parts should i get? keep in mind i have got about $5 000 and i live in australia so i need them to deliver.

Putting a turbo on you e34 could be done alot easier as there are not supercharger kit avalilable in aust that i know of.
But you would need 10 to 15k to get a shop to do this work for you unless you can do it yourself.
Ive just built a turbo kit for my e12 which has the same engine as your e34

ok. thanks for the help. i think it would be easer to do an engin transplant for it. is it any cheaper and do u no any good places?

Try finding possibly an Alpina engine or some tuner engine if you want out of the box plug and play stuff. Perhaps the monster Alpina B10 Bi-turbo? Good luck and post pics. I love Australia, its beautiful down there.

You won't be able to do a proper SC system for $5,000. That's pretty much the bottomline. A decent IC will cost you at least $1,500 alone.

www.bavariantuning.com (they ship intl) has really good software as a starter for your car and they also have SC's, but forced induction is not usually the best idea on aging car.

He is in Australia so it will be alot more than 5gs
Turbo it if you want more power from it
Do a search for turbo m30

Id definitely go with Bavarian Tuning if an S/C is needed, btw. KNowledgable staff, no bullshit. I know the owner, awesome mofo.

I hear he is violent.

The only way he could do anything for under $5,000 USD is to design his own kit out of non-model specific parts and from the general tone of his posts I doubt he has that ability.

My suggestion: keep saving.

i dont have that kind of ability but one day lol. i think that ill just keep saving

I have a e34 540i sport and want to get some performance parts for it. does anyone know of any shops in the tri-state area that specialize in e34 bmws? Or any websites?
