Izzat so?
Well I know where my drinking money is going from now on, not my stomach.

I wsan't expecting any real performance gains from a filter/airbox, just a better noise would be nice.

Another good bang-for-buck mod is diff change.
Got that sorted already, had the old unit swapped out for an (E34 I think) M5's LSD.

Of course, now I can only hit about 170Kph...

If I can find my camera cable, I'll post a couple of pics of my Bronze E28..

Why do you keep modifying my name in your quotes? lol out of the turn speed and acceleration is more usable in real world driving than top speed anyways. Please post pics! Yeah, now that I greatly reduced my drinking, you wouldnt believe the money that is still in my wallet at the end of the month!

Dual round headlights is the way BMWs look best IMHO. It was our trademark for a while. Now the lights are all cattywompus and trapezoidal and all sorts of other things I wouldnt be able to pronounce, but.....things change.

Nice,

gotta agree with CleanAzzE30z about the lights, they and the front kidneys identify a BMW.

P4g4nite,

Where in NSW are you ?

Cheers,
Iain

Out in the bush mate, Wagga Wagga, 500Km along the Hume from you.
I get to Uni next year at Wollongong doing Automotive engineering /or/ Advanced Materials science. Should have more of a chance for some drive days then, and some more work done on the 535i..

Mate, I love your 6.
How long have you had it?

Wagga Wagga yeah a bit of a drive, if its a good run I might do it one weekend, there & back is should be an easy run.

Wollongong is easy to Sydney where most Aussie DTMers are, lots of interesting runs from Sydney.

The 6er became mine last november, spent a lot on it since, suspension, engine (top end), radiator & some cosmetic work, but every time I drive it it makes me smile, so the money is well spent.

I looked for a 6er for about a year, not easy to find one in aus, but I didn't make my task easy, I wanted a manual & a dark coloured one, after looking at some british imports (and the rust) I decided I wanted an Aussie import, only afterwards did I find out how hard the task I'd set myself was, BMW Aus only imported 58 manual 635's, no idea how many survive.

Before the 6er I had an E30 for ages, was a lot of fun, maybe BMWs should have a health warning, "This car may be adictive"

Lots in common with late E24s & E28s (early E24s are more like E12s), but if I needed 4 doors I know what I'd be looking at, probably an E28.

cheers,
Iain

As soon as he said that Old Schoolers in Australia comment, I instantly thought of you, Kaotiq. I was actually going to point him your way.

I can't get over that clean black 6!! Those things are pure class, especially on fat BBS mesh!!

Someday, when I get the cash and garage space, an E24 project will be in there somewhere...

We're Aussies, that's what we do. Go to any forums and you will find an Aussie derailing and hijacking threads.

Anyway, I have an healthy, platonic love of oldskool Bimmer and, as such, have decided to boycott modern "Bangled" designs.

I henceforth, swear not to buy the new M5
