hehe, I was being a bit tongue in cheek...I guess that doesn't come across so well written down as it does when I speak. I'll be sure to use smilies next time.

dunno if anyone else brought this up, but, how did they get the wheels off? Dont u need a special "key" which goes on the wrench to remove the wheel bolt? I know in my trunk the "key" in the tool case

It was re-routed to 911, however it took time to transfer. Commmon sense would tell you to call 911. One of the witness's who called 311 was actually parked in front of the M5 (he owned an H2), you would think he might have the sense to call 911.

that was probably an insurance job. theives dont take rims.they take the whole car. and the whole car would no longer exist (chopped and parted) that dick who owns that car had a hot set of rims on it and took them off to probably make a few extra bucks so he would be able to take the subway for about 2 months.

IMO that was more than likely an insurance job.
Not an insuarance job, if you read my earlier post I explained how thieves have been stealing headlights, this guy's rims just happened to get stolen also. The thieves left behind the cars jack, which was taken from the trunk & which probably had the special key for the lug nuts.

I attached a photo of an Audi A4 which had its Xenon lights stolen a week prior, except the thieves actually drove the car 3 blocks down the street to a better location to strip it. When we found the car it was parked on a hydrant running with the ignition popped.

locknuts come out by drilling them out.. i had to do it myself when i lost the "locknut key" on a previous car..

i actually run 5 differnt sets on wheels.. Takes someone 30 mins to chip out each one

Thought the m5 would of had a OEM alarm system tho..
