m5 wagon?

Do they make those? Today I saw a wagon on the road that had an M5 emblem on the back side and tires and everything and I was thinking wtf? It only had one exhaust pipe too. Was it fake?

if it wasnt a e34 than it wasnt a original m5. bmw didnt build a m5 e39 or e61

the car probably got hit in the back, and the guy just used an M5 badge instead of a 528i or 540i and then he wanted to throw some (most likely fake) M5 wheels on there.

a lot of 540i wagons look like m5's in motion, some have m badging on doorsills, etc, but with single tip exhasut. if someone switched badges it'll look like a clean m5 wagon (that even existed for e39.)

I know they built one E39 wagon for a BMW executive, but it was never mass produced. Just another poser that for some reason feels better having his car badged as something it clearly is not. I still will never understand that. The only person one fools is oneself. On top of that if you lose a race, the ignorant (most likely) person that handed you your ass thinks they beat an ///M car therefore lowering their respect for Munich ///M machines. tsk tsk, lol.

There was 1 produced M5 wagon on the E39 chassis. BMW wasn't happy with their results and canned the project. It looked funky, i'm glad it stayed as only a sedan, the 540wagon looked much better.

I would have been more suspicious but there are plenty of M5/M3/Enzo/911/AMG55 shits around here.

Yeah I was about to say - There have been a couple of conversions I've seen out and around - dropping M5 engines and other goodies into the wagons. I think it's hot as hell.
