A couple of rare versions, the E34 M5 Touring did see production in Europe, but the E39 M5 Touring was never produced.

nice series, its funny how as time moves forward and cars become better, i tend to like the older models even more

I think its an issue of longevity. E28, E34, and E39 m5s still look hot, even 16 years later (in the case of the e28). Sure the new m5 looks nifty now, but so does anything with big wheels and deep spoilers...how will it look in 10 years?
