The SMG... may have a clutch....

And the new M5 has a V10 in it, name a good V10 motor

Don't mind if I do! How about the
because it is
? Or perhaps the V10 engines that power Formula 1? Good sir, you have the intelligence of a haploid wombat.

Real drivers will always want a manual transmission and clutch pedal.

As opposed to the fake ones who have, apparently, infiltrated BMW M Division and most professional motorsport? You see, I think you are sorely mistaken here. In fact, I think it is those who cannot drive at all who dislike the notion of SMG. Of course, that includes you...

I can't get it to shift smoothly

Can you do anything right? I mean, cannot you shift an "automatic" transmission smoothly? Honorable comrade, you are worthless.
All, I think this here leech of our glorious BMW community is the byproduct of a vociferous and refractory media, hellbent on disestablishing BMW's dominance in the sport/luxury class. Clearly, this impressionable minion and many others like him have jumped on a bandwagon of antibanglism. He only dislikes the M5 because he is supposed to. "Real" drivers don't use SMG; Bangle doesn't design in "BMW-like" fashion; I don't like flame surfacing; I don't like the trunk lid of the new seven. And the list of sorely fatigued, antibanglism cliche's goes on. Sadly, I believe that this poor soul is beyond the reach of salvation from his heinous ways. I hope the rest of you can look upon new BMW's with an objective eye and appreciate their offerings. The E60 M5 stands as both a technological masterpiece to be chased by its competitors and a beautiful car to be stared at as it hunts through traffic.
