| Mods for E39 528iA non-Steptronic Hey guys... as it looks now, I will probably be driving my dad's 528iA when he retires it in favor of a new M3/M5 and once I sell my car... at least for a while. What mods can I do that will get me some decent improvements without being really expensive? I am thinking... 35% tint DIY smoked orange on the rear taillights and smoked corners... dunno about the fronts, those are fairly expensive, no? some sort of springs... its way too high 2000 model chrome grilles (not the flared 2001+/M5 grilles )ECIS intake (love the sound) and if it turns out that I will drive the 528 for longer instead of buying a M3 this year, I might do: chip (who makes them? how about a tranny chip?) 18" BBS RK (know how much I can get used ones for?) BTW, here is a link to what it looks like now. Lookin' pretty good for 71k miles

| TurboTom, Email me at slammed540@hotmail.com I can send you some pics of the custom cold air intake. Chip is tuned by AutoThority and claims are 19hp/24TQ plus higher revs. I have a dyno sheet I can send you. Exhaust can be done fairly easily to provide a nice mello tone with an aggressive bark plus some added HP. Cheers, John |
