E28 M535iA puzzle

I was wondering if you could help me out with a puzzle, I know for sure that my car is a definite M535i/A as it says it on a official bmw sticker that is inside the door. The thing is, is that ny M535i dosent have any of the M5 panels/ body kit. I was wondering why this is, it neither has any ///M badges anywhere on it, it does have the ///M5 suspension, and ///M5 steering wheel and maybe more, the original wheels were metric "bottlecap" style wheels, it does have a catylic convertor with a twin pipe exhaust from the motor, Iam confused on this, is it a M535i or a 535iA with ///M extras? I can't work it out

any help would be greatly appriciated

it seems that my car is a 218bhp non catalyic converter 535iA !! im happy as i thought my engine was only a 185bhp version with a catalyic converter

na it seems not man... but its 220bhp with the K&N...

"A" does not stand for automatic, it is actually a higher specification of 535i like the M535i or 535is, theres not much point gettin a M535i anyway, it is only a cosmetic inhancement of the "535iA" (M styling kit) -- do ya research dude....
