| nitrous hey guys, I have intake exhaust and the shark injector. I was thinking about putting in nitrous. A small shot, but still, do you think that I will have to have the shark injector sent back to pull the timing back, or no. I mean there is more fuel dumping in the kit, and also I am not spraying it all the time. What do you guys think...Thanks |

| Whas the diff in wet and dry nos systems. I thought Dry systems were for lightly modified cars, and wet were for heavily modified or is it ok to use the wet systems with his modifications. |

| hey, thanks guys. The really only concern is weather or not I am going to have to retard the timming alittle bit, and yes, it is a dry kit, so, i guess i will take the shark injector out for now, until I learn what to do with it, thanks guys...I love the vr6's, how do you like yours. My buddy has a 98 with cams exhaust chip a votec blower and it runs like a champ. thanks again guys |

| i'm sure you could have the shark injector reprogrammed to run with nitrous. mine is alright, i am about to put Cat 268 Cams, Turn2 Crank Pulley, Exhuast and GIAC chip in it, should put me down low to mid 14's hopefully. |

| wet vs. Dry nitrous... The difference between the wet and dry nitrous setups is that a wet kit has an additional solenoid for the fuel that injects a metered amount of fuel into the intake along with the nitrous. A dry kit on the other hand, only injects nitrous. The additional fuel is usually added by tricking the stock fuel system into injecting more fuel. IMHO, the wet setup is the safer alternative because it gives you more control over the injection of fuel. I agree with TrojanVR6 that you should be ok using the Shark injector with a properly installed wet nitrous kit. Hope this helps.

| You CAN NOT run a dry kit on a bmw motor. this has been learned the hard way by one of our former members. I'm not 100% but, i am pretty sure you will have to remove the shark injector.

| if the shark injector advances the timming at all like a normal JC chip does, then you should not run N20 on it.

| I know that I should not run n20 on it with the shark injector, I kept writing to them asking them if they advance the timming but they do not seem as though they want to answer me. I figured that I would just simply take off the shark injector and get it reprogrammed or even go so far as to have a new one programmed for me on the dyno or something. But, If I dn't use the shark injector, do you guys think that is is ok with the dry kit, as long as we are spraying a small shot, like say under 75? Well, thanks again. trojanvr6, yeah, those cat cams are really nice, my buddy has them, they are really nice, and they are not as hard to install as everyone says they are... |
