Replacing Door Moldings

People,
I am replacing my standard e36 side moldings with wider ///M-Tech moldings. Has anyone done this and if so advice on how to get the old ones off and new ones on. I am talking about the moldings that run along the centre of the doors etc.

I can only speak to replacing M moldings...but i'm sure the procedure is similar to removing those off a 318. You need to slide them forward about an inch or so, and then pull them off. Both sliding and pulling will offer some resistance, but don't be afraid to use some force. Putting the Mtech moldings back on is the same, just reversed. Once you see what the clips are like, it should become clearer what needs to be done.

Is it necessary to buy new clips to fit the M moldings?
