I prefer turbos over superchargers, because they are easier to tune. Turbo lag isnt that fun.....but once the turbo kicks in and throws your head into last week....theres nothing better.

Turbos sound really nice, but do you really want sound over performance. The lag really sucks, Superchargers are nice, but a little more expensive.

If I was you ,Id buy a Euro 3.2 motor you'd have a little more horse for about the same setup installed. Then If your a speed freak like me ,you'd turbo that setup, turbo setups give a little more engine life also.

i would actually ask you back what your driving habits are like

or better yet

would you rather drive an M3 with a big ass honkin V8 or one with a Nitrous tank hooked up

cause thats the best example i can give...aftermarket turbos definitely have this "trigger" point where its normal driving then POW ! take off...superchargers have less power but more of its across the band...so its like driving a more powerful car but its not a rocket

How much would it cost to get hooked up w/ a 3.2 l? Sounds pretty pricey..... but so worth it! : )

yall are saying that superchargers are more expensive but at AA web site its not so.
8,600 for 360 hp turbo
10,900 for 430 hp turbo
or
5,700 for 373 hp
which causes less problems and i hope to run 50-75 shots of NOS, dont want any big shots. I also heard that nos and turbo works great because it stops the lag.

right now i am leaning towards supercharger , but i like the idea of a e46 engine . how much is it for the engine and how much to get the required adapters and installation. anyone with this or just throw out some quesstimates.

Ive seen the complete engines range from 4K up to 8k. plus you can make a couple grand back when you sell the motor you have in your car now .
