They tried to take her away from me but the AutoLock Prevailed!

Yea so I'm walking out from a final yesterday after only 2 hours. I put my key in the door and proceed to unlock it. When I unlock the door my locks start locking and unlocking, locking and unlocking repeatedly. I think the rain ****ed up my locks somehow so I catch it when its unlocked and open the door. I look down there are pieces of my door on the floor. I'm thinking its a 94 it must be deteriorating and that was the lock sensor or something. I sit in my car and look around and I notice.....MY RADIO IS GONE! Then it all fell into place after about a minute of being really really dumbfounded, I realized my car was broken into. So after getting really mad I'm like screw it I'll drive the car home and figure things out from there. I go to put my key in the car and there is a broken screw in the ignition they tried to start the car! They almost got her from me! So now I'm like I'm fcuked. What am I supposed to do. I call the pops and he tells me call our mechanic and have him send me a tow truck. So I do that and I'm waiting for the tow truck. My friends come and wait with me. As one of my friends goes to the passenger side of my car he goes wow Mike they really got you. I go what do you mean? I go to look and I realize they broke in from that side of the car and they did it by drilling a hole through my door under the handle. I really flipped out. So finally the tow truck shows up and he tells me the car is too low they need a flatbed so I go fine when the cops are done here I'll call you and you send the flat bed. So I wait about 2 hours for the cops to come and they give me an attitude since I had a bunch of friends with me. "You guys screwin around or what" they told us. I was like no officer someone broke into my car. Once they saw the damage they started to be nice and let me fill out the report. As the cops looked at the car I realized they folded down my backseats and took everything in my trunk too which includes the locks to my rims! Then I get out, and I realize they dented my passenger side rear quarter panel! So the cops leave and I call up the tow truck. I wait from about 3-7 at night for the god damn tow truck. Since you cant put the key in the ignition the car is stuck in Park. He tries to hook up my car and dead lift it from the front. In the process me and my friend watch the guy CRACK my front Rieger bumper. I flipped out on the guy started screaming. Then he goes I have to lift it from the back. Now its just as low in the back its not going to make the difference but he assures me it will be fine. So he tries and I watch the bumper bend as the metal wire put pressure on it. I yelled at the guy get away from the car dont put it on if you are going to **** my car up. He insists on trying and tells me to lift my car from the rear wheel well and I say I have no responisibilty its your job. He asks me if I have a jack and I say no but he goes and gets his own and tries it I was like. NO so as he gets the jack out I yell at him dont touch my car anymore I dont want you to **** it up again. I yell at him so much to stop that he throws the jack in my direction! I really let loose there. I told him off like no person has told him off in his life. So he left without getting paid. Eventually our mechanic and my father arrive at 8 and start working on the ignition to get the screw out. At 9 they finally get it out and the mechanic drives my car back to the shop. I waited 10 hours outside my school yesterday, thank god I have nice friends who would stay with me. My insurance only covers major theft so I get no help there and I have a 1000 deductable. So im really screwed. There is def over 1-2k damage on the car from these assholes. The only upside to this entire story is that at least they didnt steal the car. So now the car is in the shop getting the crappy oem tape deck installed and being fixed. I have no luck with cars...
The one thing I wonder about is that I have the auto-lock. I wonder if thats why they weren't able to steal the car...I mean you saw the infomercial didnt you? They shoot that thing with a shotgun and it doesnt break, they send in professional thiefs to steal the car and they cant, and it looks like they tried to remove it but couldn't. The screw in the ignition might have just broke or they might have broke their slapjack so there was no evidence of them but who knows that will always be a mystery. I'm in the market for a tv unit though lol. This incident wont stop me I'm just upgrading now, and it gives me an opportunity to install my new m3 mirrors. Don't get me wrong though I am fuming if I find this asshole who did this hes gonna get shot up.

that sucks glad they didnt get ur car tho, if ur talking about the autolock from those infomercials with "ex car thieves" being not able to break it , its a piece of shit i had one on my old jetta onetime and lost the key i was able to get it off in like 2 mins with a hatchet and hacksaw..lol

if they had turned the ignition succesfully even without the autolock in place it still wouldn't have started, there is a computer that kills the ignition if the car is opened without a key, you can find it in your bently shop manual.

the steering lock is more of a problem then the autolock, the cheap honda steering locks kids can break by just banging the wheel back and forth hard but on the german cars it won't budge.

My mechanic is going to take care of the bumper since he sent the asshole to me. The car is in the shop as of right now, I can't really complain cause it was a bad day for cars in queens all together my friend nick got a ticket. and my friend charlsie, she just got a brand new jetta like a week ago. She was sitting with me in her car while I waited for the cops at one point, Next thing I hear at 4pm she rear ended someone and the pathfinders tires were thru her windshield. I am just happy my car is still here. Anyone have an in dash tv unit for sale? -Mike

edit: #2 what alarm do you guys reccomend that I install on my car? I know they can always get past them but I really need one.

ALARM!! get the clifford rs3. My friend just put that on his project sylvia and it has a remote which works up to 2 miles away. It has a screen which shows you the car, which doors are open, if someone is banging on your car and where, and pretty much the general condition of your car if its not perfectly standing still. Get that!!! ESPECIALLY if they have your wheel lock key, im sure they will come around again for your rims and this remote will tell you if the car is going off at all without the alarm necessarily going off so you can run out can catch those fuc*ers and get your stuff back!

we talking bout the same autolock here? hatchet and hacksaw, doubt it. on the informercial they shot it with a 12 guage shotgun, tried to cut it with a hacksaw, and tried to drill the key hole, non of that shiet even dented it.

sad story man! what insurance do you have, you should have said it was vandalism and they should cover everything for a very low deductable. If it makes you feel better I'll tell you what happened to my car last week..... I was following a huge Ford f-350 on the freeway and turned my head down to change a song on my mp3 player..... I saw something move out of the corner of my eye so I looked up and BOOM!!!! A huge sheet of glass came crashing into my front bumper and came flying back at me....... then another BOOM and another sheet of glass breaks on the side of my car. I realize that everything just fell off the truck that WAS in front of me and notice that they are 2 lanes over and moving quick as the exit is just about to pass. I look to the right of me and there is a guy in a brand new Porsche that is just like WHAT THE @$$# is going on so he slowed down and let me get over to catch the guys but it was just too late. The truck was on the exit and flying down it! The best part is my car is in the shop getting a full paint job and a body kit that I had to pay a $100 deductable for..... What a deal!
